Privacy

Overview

We do not build user profiles or use cookies for our own analytics. When you visit the site or use individual features, technical data may be processed by the providers involved. The sections below describe those data flows.

Hosting

The site is served via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). To deliver and protect requests, Cloudflare processes technical connection and request data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL. Use and retention depend on the Cloudflare service and its settings. Details: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. The service works without analytics cookies and provides aggregated metrics such as page views, referrer, country, device, browser and operating system. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors' personal data. See theCloudflare documentation.

Genome data and the Genome app

Genome processes supported genomic files on your Mac and does not send them to PJ Labs. Optional reference lookups send requested rsIDs to the public databases named in the app. In the rsID Search web app, a loaded file stays in the browser. When dbSNP or ClinVar is used, the requested rsIDs go to NCBI. For ClinGen, PJ Labs retrieves a public gene-curation catalog which the web app matches in the browser; this does not transmit gene names or rsIDs. Atlas requests selected reference regions from Ensembl and reads an imported SNP file in the browser. The QR code generator and EPUB reader process entered content locally in the browser.

Genie chat

If you use Genie, your message and the current conversation context are sent to our chat endpoint and processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to generate a reply. The IP address is also used to limit automated requests. Please do not send genomic data, health information or other identifying details.

Fonts

The site uses IBM Plex Mono, served by this website. It does not connect to Google Fonts or other font-hosting services.

Contact by Email

If you contact us at info@pjlabs.dev, your email address and message will be stored to answer your request. The data is deleted after the communication is concluded, at the latest after two years.
